InventionHome Featured Invention – CRYSTAL SPONGE

Have you ever spilled a cup of coffee on your way out the door, with no time to stop and clean it up because you’re already late for work?  Or, has a new puppy ever had an accident on your carpet while housetraining?

Inventor Bernie P. of Girard, Ohio always surrounded himself with clumsy people, and he experienced events like this all too often.  He knew enough about chemistry to develop “Crystal Sponge”, a pour-on granular substance that will absorb virtually any wet spill from carpet and fabric.

To use Crystal Sponge…as soon after a spill occurs, just pour the product on the soiled surface area.  Wait 15-minutes (minimum) or even all-day if you’re late for work.  Finally, vacuum away the stain.  That’s it!  Don’t believe it?  Watch this video that we created here in the InventionHome office:

http://bit.ly/11FUvKM

Bernie enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist them in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

Invention of the Week by InventionHome.com – “Turbo Roaster”

If you’re preparing the traditional turkey feast tomorrow (Thanksgiving), you might want to learn more about independent inventor Eduardo S’s “Turbo Roaster”.

The device is said to shorten the baking time of turkey and other poultry by up to 50%! Also, because it cooks with super-heated steam to melt the fat away and retain the bird’s natural juices, the result is moist and tender perfection.

This patented product consists of a glass jar with an airtight

lid and a small bent pipe that runs from the jar to the inside of the turkey or chicken. The jar is filled with some water and the lid is tightly sealed. The opposite end of the pipe is placed inside of the bird’s cavity, and the whole thing is then placed inside of the oven. As the bird cooks, the water in the jar boils, creating steam, which becomes trapped in the pipe. When the temperature of the steam reaches 350 degrees, it expands and pushes itself out of the pipe to cook from inside.

I happened to score one of Eduardo’s samples of this unique device, and I will be testing it out tomorrow with my Thanksgiving party of 7.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – Dogaims™

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – Dogaims™

Independent inventor Dana E. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist her in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for her invention.

Dogaims™ is a home tool to assist dog owners in training their pets in the home. The training system provides pet owners with an opportunity to teach and play with their pet without intimidation, expense, and transportation issues. It allows the consumer to enrich the dog’s life through teaching and entertainment so that as a result the dog becomes more attentive, respectful, and obedient. The product affords owner and pet interaction at any time of day, in any setting. It can also be played with more than one person so that the whole family and the dog can participate. It encourages positive reinforcement to ensure that unwanted behaviors, such as barking, destruction, and pulling on the leash are eliminated without the expense or inconvenience of formal training classes.

Effective dog training can assist in reducing the numbers of dogs being given up to shelters for unwanted behaviors, however pet owners are reluctant to attend training classes for a number of reasons. For many, it is a shortage of time and a lack of finances that prevents them from enrolling their dog in training classes. Others have transportation issues or physical limitations. Some also worry that their dog will be in a class with another dog that has aggressive tendencies. An at-home training system is needed.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Chef-Aid”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Chef-Aid”

Independent inventor A. Johnson enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist her in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for her invention.

Chef-Aid provides a safe, conveniently accessible, space saving and sanitary venue for multiple utensils used during the cooking process. Chef-Aid stands at approximately seven-and-a-half inches high with a base measuring six-inches in width and a four-inches in diameter. Chef-Aid will safely hold up to five utensils of varying sizes when they’re placed upright against the supporting, horizontal C-shape back. Chef-Aid’s most outstanding feature is the patented drain system in the base, which was designed to prevent the commingling of foods from all utensils. Chef-Aid is a polypropylene product; it’s dishwasher safe and heat resistant. Easily disassembled into three sections.

Chef-Aid’s exclusive design provides the cook with extra space, time and less cleanup than compared to the proverbial spoon rest/soup dish/countertop/sink of the past. Chef-Aid’s upright position with its patented unique drain system prevents the commingling of food from utensils in use and thereby maintains a more sanitary cooking environment. The orderly and safe placement of utensils eliminates accidental spilling, dropping, breaking and the ultimate, time-consuming messy cleanup. Chef-Aid can be easily disassembled for placement in the dishwasher.

Invention Spotlight: Board Game that Revives a Classic

It’s winter…and it’s cold outside here in southwestern Pennsylvania. This is the time of year when my children, ages 11 and 8, often root inside our game-room closet to emerge with board games galore to combat boredom on chilly evenings. Lately, their game of choice has been Chess.
Our client, Gregory Benjamin, also a fan of the game, has developed some twists to Chess and companion game, Checkers. His uber-challenging version centers on a modified game board that has strategically-placed mirrors which allow players to see only the mirror-image of their own game pieces (which are shielded from their normal line-of-sight). The kids and I can’t wait to give this game a try!

Mr. Benjamin selected
InventionHome to assist him with essential services to research and develop his invention, and he now joins approximately 3,000 fellow inventors whose products are being marketed to industry through our HotLinks service, our iShowOnline virtual tradeshow, and our (free) MatchProduct.com service.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Skewer Holder”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Skewer Holder”

Independent inventor Fred Sculuca enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his patented invention.

With snow and record-cold temperatures blanketing much of the country, outdoor barbecuing might not be top-of-mind. Rest assured, BBQ season will come around again...and when it does wouldn't you love to have this clever gadget?

Skewer Holder offers an improved device for suspending skewered kabobs over a cooking surface, such as a barbeque grill, pit, open flame, or other cooking area. It eliminates the need to place the food directly onto the cooking surface, which can char the food, dirty the grill, and result in the unwanted transfer of flavors. The device also helps to avoid the risk of injury that may result from an individual holding the skewer over the flame. This product allows for full rotation of the impaled food items, therefore permitting an even and thorough cooking of the food. This device is designed to accommodate various cooking methods, such as grill/oven cooking, open pit barbequing, and fireplace cooking. Consumers will appreciate the convenience and practicality that this product provides. A variety of styles are available.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com - ”The Freedom Tray”

InventionHome and MatchProduct.com announce their Invention of the Week – “The Freedom Tray”

Independent inventor Jim Rucker enlisted the help of MatchProduct.com (sister company of InventionHome) to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

The Freedom Tray is the revolutionary food and beverage tray. Whether you’re in your car, watching TV, boating, camping, at the game or serving up the burgers at the tailgate party, the Freedom Tray will make your life easier. Simply pop it open, lock it in place and, instantly, you have a portable and versatile table to meet your needs. The idea for the Freedom Tray came from a pretty simple concept; there had to be a better way to handle food and drinks at the ball game, around the house and especially in the car! The inventor, a father of three, came up with the idea after years of watching his children spill drinks and food all over his vehicle, around their home and seeing all the waste that is generated from cardboard holders at athletic stadiums and arenas all around the country.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Magic Spicer”

InventionHome and MatchProduct.com announce their Invention of the Week – “Magic Spicer”.

Independent inventor Simon Sunatori enlisted the help of MatchProduct.com (sister company of InventionHome) to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

As Autumn approaches, so does the season for savory “comfort foods” and holiday baking. Time to pull out those spices from the back of the cupboard…spices like chili powder, oregano, nutmeg and cinnamon. Wouldn’t it be great to have a convenient spice rack to both simplify storage and keep those frequently-used seasonings within easy reach? Well, I’m proud to introduce the “Magic Spicer”!

This clever storage device mounts underneath kitchen cabinets with durable double-sided tape (no tools needed!). Six embedded magnets in the track keep the transparent jars neatly aligned. Best of all, the lid of each jar can be adjusted to desired aperture size, then no more screwing the lids on/off. Just place the “open” jar into the self-sealing track and that’s it! Truly one-handed convenience.
