InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Expandable Power Strip and Expandable Wall Plug”

Get any cool technology products for the Holidays? With this weeks’ Invention of the Week you will never have to worry about keeping those gadgets charged and ready for use!

Invention Home is pleased to showcase the Expandable Power Strip and Expandable Wall Plug. This two-in-one innovation is the ultimate problem solver for any and all rechargeable electronic devices.

Firstly, the Expandable Power Strip enables the user to expand the space between plugs, allowing oversized plugs such as those on cell phone chargers, computers, or other electronic devices to be easily plugged into the power strip. Specifically, it allows the user to slide a plugged-in item an inch or two to one side or the other, providing the extra room needed to accommodate an oversized plug. By eliminating the hassle of unplugging some items in order to make room for the large plug, the second innovative aspect to this product- the Expandable Wall Plug- is a necessary product for use in areas where many electronics or appliances need to be plugged in, such as home offices, kitchens or living rooms.

The inventor of this product enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Golf Training Glasses”

The end of 2011 ushers in January’s PGA Show in Orlando, Florida (January 26-28). InventionHome staff will be at the show’s Inventor Spotlight pavilion as an exhibitor and sponsor. Here’s a preview of one of the “golf” products that we will feature at the show.

“Golf Training Glasses” are unique sunglasses with markings on the lenses that allow golfers to align themselves properly when putting. The product addresses the difficulty that many golfers have in keeping their heads down and not glancing back and forth from the ball to the hole. (In doing this, golfers can mess up their body alignment and posture, which are all important when putting the ball). Also, golfers can push or pull their shots by moving their head and upper body too quickly after they’ve hit the ball.

This unique product has two horizontal, parallel lines spanning each lens and a small box in-between the parallel lines in which the user lines up the ball with his or her dominant eye. To use, golfers simply keep the ball in the box to reduce head movement while swinging.

The inventor of this product enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for their invention.

If you’re attending the PGA show in January, stop by our booth to give the “Golf Training Glasses” a try!

Special note to golf-product inventors: InventionHome has reserved three spots in our PGA show booth to exhibit new products! If you are interested in submitting your product for consideration, you may do so here.

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “All-in-One Cookie Cutter”

The beginning of December marks the official start of Holiday baking season! For those of you who are dusting off your cookie sheets and stocking up on flour and parchment paper, take a look at this new invention from a group of independent inventors from San Marco, Texas!

The “All-In-One Cookie Cutter” puts a unique twist on the tedious task of creating decorative treats using traditional cookie cutters. Not only does the traditional process of cutting out shapes take time, but also the cleanup of various plastic or metal cutters can be inconvenient. That’s why our inventors designed a simple, hollow sleeve which can slide over a rolling pin barrel. Now, bakers can simply roll out dough as usual. Instead of using standard cutters to press out the dough one-at-a-time, they just slide this device over their rolling pin and make one quick swipe across the dough for perfect cutouts with minimal wasted dough.

Just imagine baking your cookies in a fraction of the time leaving more time for actually ENJOYING the holidays!

The inventors of this product enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist them in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for their invention.

Invention of the Week by InventionHome.com – “Turbo Roaster”

If you’re preparing the traditional turkey feast tomorrow (Thanksgiving), you might want to learn more about independent inventor Eduardo S’s “Turbo Roaster”.

The device is said to shorten the baking time of turkey and other poultry by up to 50%! Also, because it cooks with super-heated steam to melt the fat away and retain the bird’s natural juices, the result is moist and tender perfection.

This patented product consists of a glass jar with an airtight

lid and a small bent pipe that runs from the jar to the inside of the turkey or chicken. The jar is filled with some water and the lid is tightly sealed. The opposite end of the pipe is placed inside of the bird’s cavity, and the whole thing is then placed inside of the oven. As the bird cooks, the water in the jar boils, creating steam, which becomes trapped in the pipe. When the temperature of the steam reaches 350 degrees, it expands and pushes itself out of the pipe to cook from inside.

I happened to score one of Eduardo’s samples of this unique device, and I will be testing it out tomorrow with my Thanksgiving party of 7.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Bakers Band”

InventionHome and MatchProduct.com announce their Invention of the Week – Bakers Band

We’re pleased to introduce MatchProduct item “Bakers Band” as this week’s featured invention! MatchProduct (sister company of InventionHome) is now seeking license or distribution opportunities for this clever kitchen item.

As we preheat our ovens for the holiday baking season, let’s reflect on that crusty mess lying under the cooking racks that has set of fire alarms and filled our kitchens with smoke and horrendous smells. It is the remainder of past meals…bubbled-over lasagnas, dripped pie filling, and oozing cheesy casseroles. Well, you CAN have the delicious comfort food without the mess! Introducing Bakers Band.

This silicone-rubber product fits over standard baking dishes to prevent the meal from boiling over the sides and into the oven. Three sizes are currently available to fit standard 9”x13”, 8”x8” and 9-1/2” round baking dishes. The Baker’s Band seal fits snuggly around the edges of glass casserole baking dishes. Bands have a flexible, non-stick surface that is easy to clean and does on impart any flavor or odor on your favorite baked items. Plus, with the raised edges on your dish, you can now use plastic wrap over your dish without fear of the wrap touching your delicate frosting.

Pretty clever, don’t you think?

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Zip-In-Go Sports Towel”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Zip-In-Go Sports Towel”

Independent inventor Randy H. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

Sometimes, it can be burdensome to transport a variety of items without carrying a backpack, purse, fanny pack or some other form of storage bag. Unfortunately, not everybody, especially men, enjoys carrying extraneous bags or pouches to accommodate their necessary items. With Zip-In-Go Sports Towel, the user would not have to carry anything that is not usable and practical, instead the user would be able to turn their sports towel into a tote bag, eliminating the need to carry anything, including extra baggage, that is not used.

Zip-In-Go Sports Towel is an article that is able to convert from a sports towel to a tote bag and back again in a quick and effortless manner. This provides a stylish and practical way for a person to carry a sports towel, when they are working out or jogging, while providing the option of transporting other merchandise in a tote bag. This would be ideal for anybody who goes to the gym and requires a towel and other items, but has limited storage space. With Zip-In-Go Sports Towel, the user could easily transport their extra necessities in the tote, store them in a locker and then transform the carrying device into a towel that can be utilized while working out. Zip-In-Go Sports Towel enables a person to function in a hands-free manner, allowing them to focus on the activity they are currently involved in rather than trying to carry and balance all of the items they have to bring along.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – "No Tangle, 2-Dog Retractable and Adjustable Leashes"

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “No Tangle, 2-Dog Retractable and Adjustable Leashes”

Independent inventor January B. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist her in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for her invention.

No Tangle, 2-Dog Retractable and Adjustable Leashes are designed to allow dog walkers to walk two dogs without intertwining the leads.
When walking more than one dog at the same time, it is easy to get the leads intertwined. The owner may end up getting a workout trying to figure out how to disentangle the mess. Once the leads are straightened out, it is often difficult to walk dogs that have vastly different temperaments, as one may want to chase birds in one direction while the other could refuse to move. Also, the conventional way of walking two dogs requires purchasing two leashes and then takes up both hands while walking, making it difficult to pick up waste and maintain control of the animals. A more efficient solution is necessary.

No Tangle, 2-Dog Retractable and Adjustable Leashes provide owners with an easy way to walk two dogs at the same time and gives dogs the freedom to walk without being tethered to each other. The tangle-free walking session is made possible by the patented Detangler, which moves freely up and down the two leads, continuously preventing the leads from becoming tangled. One or both dogs can be restrained or allowed to roam freely at a distance determined by the pet walker. Owners of multiple dogs and pet care professionals will appreciate the convenience and design of this unique product.

Fully developed prototype available upon request.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – Dogaims™

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – Dogaims™

Independent inventor Dana E. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist her in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for her invention.

Dogaims™ is a home tool to assist dog owners in training their pets in the home. The training system provides pet owners with an opportunity to teach and play with their pet without intimidation, expense, and transportation issues. It allows the consumer to enrich the dog’s life through teaching and entertainment so that as a result the dog becomes more attentive, respectful, and obedient. The product affords owner and pet interaction at any time of day, in any setting. It can also be played with more than one person so that the whole family and the dog can participate. It encourages positive reinforcement to ensure that unwanted behaviors, such as barking, destruction, and pulling on the leash are eliminated without the expense or inconvenience of formal training classes.

Effective dog training can assist in reducing the numbers of dogs being given up to shelters for unwanted behaviors, however pet owners are reluctant to attend training classes for a number of reasons. For many, it is a shortage of time and a lack of finances that prevents them from enrolling their dog in training classes. Others have transportation issues or physical limitations. Some also worry that their dog will be in a class with another dog that has aggressive tendencies. An at-home training system is needed.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Chef-Aid”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Chef-Aid”

Independent inventor A. Johnson enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist her in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for her invention.

Chef-Aid provides a safe, conveniently accessible, space saving and sanitary venue for multiple utensils used during the cooking process. Chef-Aid stands at approximately seven-and-a-half inches high with a base measuring six-inches in width and a four-inches in diameter. Chef-Aid will safely hold up to five utensils of varying sizes when they’re placed upright against the supporting, horizontal C-shape back. Chef-Aid’s most outstanding feature is the patented drain system in the base, which was designed to prevent the commingling of foods from all utensils. Chef-Aid is a polypropylene product; it’s dishwasher safe and heat resistant. Easily disassembled into three sections.

Chef-Aid’s exclusive design provides the cook with extra space, time and less cleanup than compared to the proverbial spoon rest/soup dish/countertop/sink of the past. Chef-Aid’s upright position with its patented unique drain system prevents the commingling of food from utensils in use and thereby maintains a more sanitary cooking environment. The orderly and safe placement of utensils eliminates accidental spilling, dropping, breaking and the ultimate, time-consuming messy cleanup. Chef-Aid can be easily disassembled for placement in the dishwasher.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Tree Hugger”

InventionHome and MatchProduct.com announce their Invention of the Week – “Tree Hugger”.

Independent inventor Kevin L. enlisted the help of MatchProduct.com (sister company of InventionHome) to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

Tree Hugger is an adjustable high fiber vinyl product for creating Vertical Gardens in only seconds, without using any tools, nails, ropes or chains and without any damage to a tree, column or post you can place the TREE HUGGER™ on just about anything you can imagine.

Attempts have been made to display pots, plants and ornaments that have included ground based stands and elevated supports. Many of these stands can require assembly time and be expensive to purchase and assemble, as well as be unsightly and unattractive. In addition, such stands take up valuable ground space, which restricts use and enjoyment of backyards and gardens. For example, townhouses, and many new homes, have small backyards that do not allow for the display of many planters and pots. Thus, ground base stands are undesirable.

The Tree Hugger solves all these problems and much more. We can also use the Tree Hugger for a thousand more uses, this may sound like an exaggeration but it is not. There are an endless number of Sku’s that can placed on a Tree Hugger, not only pots & plants also our custom made bird feeders, bird baths, double table, single table, tools, lights and ornaments. Think about all the different ornaments there are for all the seasons. The Tree Hugger was engineered for Halloween and Christmas ornaments. No other device enables all of these different items to be placed not only on trees but also square concrete light polls and pilings. The Tree Hugger is also adjustable and practicable device that can fit small or large trees, column or post horizontal, vertical or anything in-between

Featured Invention by InventionHome.com – “Micro Fresh-Tea System”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – Micro Fresh-Tea System

Independent inventor Steve R. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

Tea is the most consumed beverage in the world, outside of water, and approximately 85 percent of tea consumed in America is iced. Ease of preparation has never been a strong selling point for tea. In this nation that demands convenience, the Micro Fresh-Tea System provides a quick and easy method for preparing freshly brewed iced tea using the convenience of the very common microwave. In contrast to the more costly ready-to-drink- tea in bottles and cans, tea that is prepared in the home costs about three cents per serving. This product allows the user to quickly brew a fresh pitcher of iced tea whenever it is desired.

The Micro Fresh-Tea System is a uniquely designed pitcher that provides an "all-in-one" method to brew, serve, and store freshly brewed iced tea. This innovative product utilizes the convenience of the microwave. What makes this product unique is that one side of the pitcher is flat. By turning the pitcher to rest on its side, it is able to fit in the microwave for the brewing process. Just add fill to the indicator line with water, insert teabags and brew in the microwave. When complete, remove from microwave and set the pitcher upright. Delicious, freshly brewed iced tea prepared quickly and easily. Just add ice, sweeten to taste, and the iced tea will be ready to serve or it can be stored in the refrigerator to enjoy at a later time.

Weekly Invention by InventionHome.com – “Egg Baker”

InventionHome announces their Invention of the Week – “Egg Baker”

Independent inventor Robert M. enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his invention.

Many individuals desire nutritious, egg breakfasts in the morning, but honestly…who has time?! Furthermore, fried or scrambled eggs require skillets (which means extra clean-up time), and also require oil or butter to prevent sticking (which means added calories/fat).

Robert has developed and patented a device to enable users to prepare, cook, and eat eggs all without messing various pans/bowls, and also requiring no added oils or butter. The item consists of a ceramic, egg-shaped bowl with lid. It is both microwave and oven-safe. For a quick omelet, just crack 2 eggs into the bowl, whisk in desired ingredients (perhaps diced ham and shredded cheese) and pop in the microwave for about a minute and a half. When finished cooking, just eat right from the bowl. Easy, quick, and minimal clean-up.

Invention Spotlight: Board Game that Revives a Classic

It’s winter…and it’s cold outside here in southwestern Pennsylvania. This is the time of year when my children, ages 11 and 8, often root inside our game-room closet to emerge with board games galore to combat boredom on chilly evenings. Lately, their game of choice has been Chess.
Our client, Gregory Benjamin, also a fan of the game, has developed some twists to Chess and companion game, Checkers. His uber-challenging version centers on a modified game board that has strategically-placed mirrors which allow players to see only the mirror-image of their own game pieces (which are shielded from their normal line-of-sight). The kids and I can’t wait to give this game a try!

Mr. Benjamin selected
InventionHome to assist him with essential services to research and develop his invention, and he now joins approximately 3,000 fellow inventors whose products are being marketed to industry through our HotLinks service, our iShowOnline virtual tradeshow, and our (free) MatchProduct.com service.
